Dear Netconf WG,

We just submitted a new iteration of UDP-notif draft.

The following changes have been made from the feedback we received through the ML and other channels:
- We understood that the observation domain IDs are generated at the source and to maintain message unicity, we need to use the source IP.
- We clarified the message-id sequence.
- We added that the messages with unordered options MAY be dropped by the collector.
- On the YANG module:
   - as decided in the last IETF meeting, we follow HTTPS-notif receiver structures to configure UDP-notif transport
   - the address leaf has been changed to inet:ip-address-no-zone
- And we added 3 examples: 2 configurations examples and 1 for the UDP-notif message.

We also have had feedback that the naming of Observation-Domain-ID in the protocol might be confusing since the same term is used in IPFIX.
Changing this term impact greatly the draft-ietf-netconf-distributed-notif draft.

Therefore, to address this issue, in the udp-notif draft, instead of referencing draft-ietf-netconf-notification-messages in section 3.2 (which have an IPFIX term in the definition), we reference draft-ietf-netconf-distributed-notif.
In draft-ietf-netconf-distributed-notif, the Observation-Domain and Observation-Domain-ID are defined in the terminology section and the draft has no reference to IPFIX. Thus, the scope of this term is Subscribed Notifications.

The authors feel the draft is stable now and plan to request WGLC in Yokohama.

Feedback is welcome.

Regards,

Alex Huang Feng (on behalf of the authors)
