I have just become aware of the Proposed Standard, "A File Format for
the Exchange of Images in the Internet", and am very interested in
hearing more.

One item that struck me immediately was your sugesting that TIFF-B be
the file format, using just one TIFF strip per page. Why just one
strip? An applicatio n can provide much more user responsiveness if
the image is encoded in multiple strips.

Please, tell me more about your proposed standard - exactly what is
it, why it was choosen and what other options were investigated.

Thank You.
