Hmm, RFC 2462bis is actually slightly ambiguous about this.

If you read bullet 2 on page 19, it is not clear whether the restriction
"If RemainingLifetime is less than or equal to 2 hours..." also applies
to the rule

                                    If the Router Advertisement
    was authenticated, the valid lifetime of the corresponding
    address should be set to the Valid Lifetime in the received
    option.

Independent of this wording, /conceptually/ I don't see a reason for NOT
accepting the Valid Lifetime value of a Router Advertisement message,
regardless of how small that value is, if the message is authenticated.
