Dear colleagues,

On behalf of the authors, I appreciate your comments, review and feedback on the adoption call on the netconf mailing list.

As a network operator, requiring network vendors to implement YANG push configured subscription as per RFC 8641 to ensure seamless Apache Kafka integration, preserving schema, we depend that transport protocols such as draft-ietf-netconf-udp-notif (which has a dependency to this document) and draft-ietf-netconf-https-notif are reaching RFC status, since to my knowledge 3 vendors are working actively on implementations being released in 2024.

Best wishes
Thomas

NETCONF WG,

This is start of a two week poll on adopting the following document:

https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/draft-ahuang-netconf-udp-client-server

The poll ends February 9.

Please send email to the list indicating "yes/support” or "no/do not support". If indicating no, please state your reservations with the document. If yes, please also feel free to provide comments you'd like to see addressed once the document is a WG document.

An IPR poll for the draft was issued, and the authors/contributors came back with not being aware of any IPR. Here is a link to IPR poll.
