Hello friends,

We are promoting an hardware network inventory management data model in CCAMP WG. Considering this data model is intended to be technology-agnostic and could also be applicable to Optical, IP, MW etc. it could also be of interest to NETMOD WG and OPSAWG.
Based on feedbacks from previous discussions, we continue this work in CCAMP and keep NETMOD WG and OPSAWG informed.
In this version of draft, we have refreshed some sentences in our document and compared our current model with OpenConfig platform data model. We have got aligned with the conclusion that our data model can mostly cover the attributes from OpenConfig.
Please have a look and feel free to give your comments. And we will have a timeslot to present our draft in the CCAMP WG, welcome to join the discussion then. Thank you!

B.R.
Chaode

Abstract:
This document defines a YANG data model for network hardware
   inventory data information.

The YANG data model presented in this document is intended to be used
as the basis toward a generic YANG data model for network hardware
inventory data information which can be augmented, when required,
with technology-specific (e.g., optical) inventory data, to be
defined either in a future version of this document or in another
   document.

The YANG data model defined in this document conforms to the Network
   Management Datastore Architecture (NMDA).
