Indeed.  As much as Dr. Mills focused on time synchronization in the last
few decades, he was an early implementor of internetworking in general.
NTP was born on the PDP-11-based Fuzzball NSFNET routers but he was active
in so much more.

There are 28 mostly early RFCs with his name on them among the 36 returned
by the above search.  Dr. Mills was generous with his time and sharp as a
tack even as his vision loss crippled his participation in the last dozen
years.  Screen readers and giant fonts on huge monitors carried him a few
more years but he was hamstrung.  He was generous with his time mentoring
me via telephone and screen-reader mangled email.  I am thankful for all
his accomplishments.
