The IESG has received a request from the Web Authorization Protocol WG (oauth) to consider the following document: - 'SAML 2.0 Profile for OAuth 2.0 Client Authentication and Authorization Grants' <draft-ietf-oauth-saml2-bearer-21.txt> as Proposed Standard The IESG plans to make a decision in the next few weeks, and solicits final comments on this action. Please send substantive comments to the ietf@ietf.org mailing lists by 2014-09-29. Exceptionally, comments may be sent to iesg@ietf.org instead. In either case, please retain the beginning of the Subject line to allow automated sorting. Abstract This specification defines the use of a SAML 2.0 Bearer Assertion as a means for requesting an OAuth 2.0 access token as well as for use as a means of client authentication.
