Hi,all
 On the IETF 65th meeting, I made a presentation about http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-kou-ospf-immediately-replying-hello-00.txt. we can make a conclusion that immediate hello is very useful.There is a question about immediate hello interoperability. I answer it as following.

 Only all OSPF routers(include various vendors) support immediate hello, the benefits of immediate hello can be exhibited. If certain router does not support immediate hello in an ospf domain, the convergence time(on p2p networks) or recovery time(on boardcast or NBMA networks) will be same to the level with normal hello and additional hello packets will be increased. Therefore, it is necessary that immediate hello interoperability.
 In present, many implementations is part of immediate hello. If these implementations all follow immediate hello, the effect is more obvious.
