Hi,

In the new version of https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-yxl-cats-protocols-applicability/,
it discussed that the PCEP carries path computation requests and responses between PCCs and the PCE.
These may include the computing metrics other than the existing network metric considered during path computation.

The protocol analysis work will be one of the point that the CATS working group focus on in Vienna,
so you may coordinate well between the two documents .
We also hope more PCE experts to review and help the discussion of PCE & CATS, thanks.

Regards,
Peng

Subject: [Cats] Fw: New Version Notification for draft-xf-pce-cats-service-01.txt

Hi All,

The authors submitted a new version for this document which proposes the PCEP extensions for CATS (Computing-Aware Traffic Steering) .

That would be useful when the C-PS (defined in draft-ietf-cats-framework) is deployed as a PCE and the ingress CATS-Router is viewed as a PCC. This document proposes the PCEP extensions for selecting and distributing the paths for CATS services.

We would greatly appreciate your review and feedback. Thanks!

Best Regards,
Quan and Huakai

Abstract:

The CATS (Computing-Aware Traffic Steering) can steer traffic between
clients of a service and sites offering the service. The C-PS may be
deployed as a PCE and the ingress CATS-Router could be viewed as a
PCC. This document proposes the PCEP extensions for selecting and
distributing the paths for CATS services.
