The IESG has received a request from the Performance Implications of
Link Characteristics Working Group to consider Advice to link designers
on link Automatic Repeat reQues (ARQ)
<draft-ietf-pilc-link-arq-issues-03.txt> as a BCP.

The IESG plans to make a decision in the next few weeks, and solicits
final comments on this action.  Please send any comments to the
iesg@ietf.org or ietf@ietf.org mailing lists by November 29, 2001.
