Presumably. The submitter's website appears to have been set up earlier this year and has a mishmash of random documents that aren't related to one another. I am not a patent lawyer (or any kind of lawyer for that matter), but I can't see how this filing has any bearing on the indicated RFCs and Internet-Draft given the expired nature of the cited patents. Am I missing something? -Peter (Y) -----Original Message----- From: pkix <pkix-bounces@ietf.org> On Behalf Of Peter Gutmann Sent: Tuesday, July 18, 2023 7:13 AM To: IETF Secretariat <ietf-ipr@ietf.org>; draft-ietf-pkix-est@ietf.org Cc: ipr-announce@ietf.org; pkix@ietf.org Subject: Re: [pkix] IPR Disclosure Mr Grzegorz Piotr Orchel's Statement about IPR related to RFC 8179, bcp78, bcp79, RFC 7030, RFC 2986, RFC 8555, and draft-ietf-pkix-rfc5280-clarifications Patent troll? The page references US6370639 and US6393126 which according to this other page: https://datatracker.ietf.org/ipr/954/ are expired and in some countries abandoned patents belonging to Todd Glassey.
