Hi everyone. Following the conversation with Alvaro, Priscylla and Marcello, we would like to propose the following work items for consideration to the RG: - Considering the several efforts being undertaken to analyze IETF work & historical data, there is interest in exploring what consolidated options could arise from a collaboration among RG members. A single source of truth of curated data would definitely help everyone and reduce the effort frictions to obtain actionable research. *Question:* Would this be of the interest of any of the RG members? If so, could you please reply to this thread so we can map them? - The above effort to build a "cleaned up" IETF database would require that we agree on a standardized procedure for the clean up (or a way to tag which rules have been used in case branching happens due to unreconcilable approaches). This could trigger some interim meeting/workshop leading to IETF 126 and may even present some conclusions in the matter. *Question:* Would the chairs support a 2 day interim meeting/workshop in the coming weeks? The hinted structure (as discussed among the initially interested parties) would be Day 1: Sizing up of the problem + Presentation of the different initiatives out there 1 week in between for people to think/discuss about a possible standard approach Day 2: Presentation of proposed cleaning steps and assignment of work + timeline - The above may be grounds for an RFC. If we come up with a standard way to clean the data, it may be worthy to consider this. While (surprisingly) there seem to be no RFC governing the Datatracker, there have been RFCs that extend its features (RFC 6175 and RFC 6322). Upon discussing with the Tools team, we are advised to post on the Tools Discuss list first, should we want to request for the consolidation project to have a hosting home in the IETF. *Next steps:* I'd be of the opinion to get things rolling on our end and approach the Tools Team once we have an MVP to show them.
