Hi RATS WG,

We presented a set of ideas at the IETF117 Dispatch and SAAG meeting around Workload Identity, and we’re looking to start some conversations on the WIMSE mailing list, wimse@ietf.org<mailto:wimse@ietf.org>. Software attestation is going to be a part of this conversation, and so we thought that some in the RATS community would be interested in the topic.

We’ve just published this -00 use cases draft, please take a look through it and bring the discussion to the list.

Abstract:

  Workload identity systems like SPIFFE provide a unique set of
  security challenges, constraints, and possibilities that affect the
  larger systems they are a part of.  This document seeks to collect
  use cases within that space, with a specific look at both the OAuth
  and SPIFFE technologies.

Discussion Venues

  This note is to be removed before publishing as an RFC.
