Hi Jim,

Defining an RDAP JSON Values types registry in an RDAP extensions draft
may be an option, however not sure if the Editors and WG would be happy
to open a very new thread assuming the document is almost heading to WG LC.

I agree, what we discussed in the last WG session, that it does not
belong to draft-loffredo-regext-rdap-verified-contacts, so maybe a
separate draft with this narrow scope would be just a valid option. Does
anyone in WG have an idea whether it has to be Standards track or
Informational would be enough?

Kind Regards,
Pawel

Potentially the RDAP Extensions (draft-ietf-regext-rdap-extensions) draft that is active now in REGEXT could cover this. An RDAP extension that defines new JSON members may have the need of registering a standard set of values for interoperability and have those values residing in a single IANA registry is beneficial. Have a new IANA registry of RDAP JSON Values types that reference the RFCs that defined the types is an option. The RDAP Extensions (draft-ietf-regext-rdap-extensions) could help define that registry or define the process that RDAP extension need to follow to create new RDAP JSON Values types.
