This specification allows Anycast-RP (Rendezvous Point) to be used
inside a domain that runs Protocol Independent Multicast (PIM) only.
Other multicast protocols (such as Multicast Source Discovery
Protocol (MSDP), which has been used traditionally to solve this
problem) are not required to support Anycast-RP.  [STANDARDS TRACK]

This document is a product of the Protocol Independent Multicast
Working Group of the IETF.

This is now a Proposed Standard Protocol.

protocol for the Internet community,and requests discussion and

Internet Official Protocol Standards (STD 1) for the standardization 
state and status of this protocol.  Distribution of this memo is
