This document defines a new Relay Agent Identifier sub-option for the
Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) Relay Agent Information
option. The sub-option carries a value that uniquely identifies the
relay agent device within the administrative domain. The value is
normally administratively configured in the relay agent. The
sub-option allows a DHCP relay agent to include the identifier in the
DHCP messages it sends.

This document is a product of the Dynamic Host Configuration Working Group of the IETF.

This is now a Proposed Standard.

STANDARDS TRACK: This document specifies an Internet standards track
protocol for the Internet community, and requests discussion and suggestions
for improvements. Please refer to the current edition of the Internet
Official Protocol Standards (STD 1) for the standardization state and
status of this protocol. Distribution of this memo is unlimited.
