Gutmann Status: Standards Track Stream: IETF Date: September 2014 Mailbox: pgut001 at cs.auckland.ac.nz Pages: 7 Characters: 15775 Updates/Obsoletes/SeeAlso: None I-D Tag: draft-ietf-tls-encrypt-then-mac-03.txt URL: https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc7366.txt This document describes a means of negotiating the use of the encrypt-then-MAC security mechanism in place of the existing MAC-then- encrypt mechanism in Transport Layer Security (TLS) and Datagram Transport Layer Security (DTLS). This document is a product of the Transport Layer Security Working Group of the IETF. This is now a Proposed Standard.
