Greetings to all!

Our next meeting will take place on September 15th at 23:00 GMT. WebEx information can be found below.

The chairs have been enjoying the group engaging in a good back and forth about the various proposals for the evolution of the RFC Editor function. Our goal is to narrow down to a starting point for adoption as a WG draft. Note the words “starting point”, not ending point.

We observe that there are four proposals to discuss at our interim, and this will form the basis of our agenda, which we propose to be as follows:

Note Well (Brian)
Agenda Bashing (Brian)
Brief overview by authors of their proposals (in order of submission)
draft-brownlee-rfc-series-and-rse-changes-01 (Nevil – 5-10 minutes)
draft-thomson-rfced-model-01 (Martin – 5-10 minutes)
draft-carpenter-rfced-model-00 (Brian – 5-10 minutes)
draft-stjohns-rfced-rseb-00 (Mike – 5-10 minutes)
A brief comparison of proposals (Eliot- 5 minutes)
Discussion (remaining time minus 10 minutes)
Humming (2 minutes) (Brian)
Next steps (2-3 minutes) (Brian)
AOB

During Item 3 we would ask that there be only clarifying questions, as we are devoting roughly half the time to discussion.

Any hums will be verified on list.

Please send any additions/changes you would like to see Real Soon Now.

Brian and Eliot
