ROLCers,

Just to let you all know, I've requested two meeting sessions at San
Jose. It's not too soon to start thinking about the agenda:

1. Closing the loop on NARP (implementation experience?)
2. Final???? discussion of the NHRP draft (we hope)
3. Discussion of "Proposed Standard" recommendation for NHRP
4. NHRP Protocol Analysis (required by IESG)
5. NHRP and multicasting
6. I'm open to suggestions ...

With regards to the protocol analysis:

Because NHRP is a routing protocol, it is required to have an
accompanying protocol analysis document. For background on such
documents, please see RFC 1264:

1264 I B. Hinden, "Internet Routing Protocol Standardization Criteria",
           10/25/1991. (Pages=8) (Format=.txt)

Here are some example analyses:

1245 I J. Moy, "OSPF Protocol Analysis", 08/08/1991. (Pages=12)
           (Format=.txt, .ps)

1265 I Y. Rekhter, "BGP Protocol Analysis", 10/28/1991. (Pages=8)
           (Format=.txt)

1387 I G. Malkin, "RIP Version 2 Protocol Analysis", 01/06/1993.
           (Pages=3) (Format=.txt)

1581 I G. Meyer, "Protocol Analysis for Extensions to RIP to Support
           Demand Circuits", 02/18/1994. (Pages=5) (Format=.txt)

1585 I J. Moy, "MOSPF: Analysis and Experience", 03/24/1994. (Pages=13)
           (Format=.txt)

If you would like to be involved with the analysis, please let me know!

Let's also start to see some comments on the new NHRP draft! You can
FTP it from ds.internic.net, in the internet-drafts/ directory; it is
draft-ietf-rolc-nhrp-02.txt.

Cheers,
Andy
