For what it is worth, I’d argue we can live with it.
My thinking is that having a reference chain back to SIP in the documents reflects
the reality of RTCWeb 1.0 implementations. The SDP is there because it was believed
that using it would make interop with other (typically SIP based) systems easier.

Much of the actual implementations grew out of SIP heritage codebases.

I think it is only reasonable that the documents reflect this reality.
