Hello BFD experts, FYI, we have updated the draft draft-mmm-bfd-on-lags to version 7. The changes are: * replace the "to-be-assigned" text parts with the UDP port and Ethernet MAC meanwhile assigned by IANA. * section 2.3, the use of the MAC learned from peer packets is now optional, i.e. MAY, instead of being a SHOULD. This keeps the basic protocol simple (no MAC change, always using the dedicated MAC), a lesson we learned from interoperability testing being done. * section 3.1, we have added the "standby" in addition to "distributed" as another port state that triggers the start/removal of the BFD session. This keeps the overall logic simpler in case of active/standby scenarios. As always, comments are welcome :-) Thanks & Regards, Marc Begin forwarded message: > From: internet-drafts@ietf.org > Date: April 13, 2013 1:42:03 GMT+02:00 > To: i-d-announce@ietf.org > Subject: I-D Action: draft-mmm-bfd-on-lags-07.txt > Reply-To: internet-drafts@ietf.org > > > A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories. > > > Title : Bidirectional Forwarding Detection (BFD) on Link Aggregation Group (LAG) Interfaces > Author(s) : Manav Bhatia > Mach(Guoyi) Chen > Sami Boutros > Marc Binderberger > Jeffrey Haas > Filename : draft-mmm-bfd-on-lags-07.txt > Pages : 11 > Date : 2013-04-12 > > Abstract: > This document proposes a mechanism to run BFD on Link Aggregation > Group (LAG) interfaces.
