Hello,

This is an advance notice of a charter in development for a new
Sustainable Web Working Group:
   https://w3c.github.io/sustyweb/wg/charter.html

The mission of the Sustainable Web Working Group is to improve
sustainability so the Web works better for all people and the planet.

This Working Group charter is being developed based on the work of the
Sustainable Web Design Community Group, which was created in 2013 and
has published a draft report:

    Web Sustainability Guidelines (WSG) 1.0
    https://w3c.github.io/sustyweb/

as well as supporting materials [1].

We welcome input and feedback on the draft charter. If you wish to make
your comments public, you're welcome to raise comments on the draft
charter at:
https://github.com/w3c/charter-drafts/issues/new?assignees=plehegar&title=%5Bwg/sustyweb

or, as a comment in
    https://github.com/w3c/strategy/issues/420

W3C Members may also discuss on the member-confidential mailing list
<w3c-ac-forum@w3.org>.

If you should have any questions or need further information, please
feel free to contact Philippe Le Hegaret <plh@w3.org>.

A formal Advisory Committee Review for this charter is expected in late
April 2024.

This announcement follows section 4.1 of the Process Document
    https://www.w3.org/2023/Process-20231103/#WGCharterDevelopment

For Philippe Le Hégaret, W3C Strategy and Project Lead;
Xueyuan Jia, W3C Marketing & Communications
