Hi Luigi/chairs & wg, Thank you for your work on the preliminary agenda for IETF 126 and for providing the selection criteria. I would like to respectfully provide some context regarding the two individual drafts we requested to present (https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-cheng-sidrops-rpki-rov-gap-analysis, https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-huang-sidrops-source-pre-validation) These two drafts are not entirely new items without prior discussion. Rather, they are the result of an evolutionary split of the earlier BGP-OA proposal (draft-huang-idr-bgp-origin-attestation), which received substantial discussion in both the SIDROPS and IDR mailing lists, was presented at the IDR interim meeting, and was also presented at the GROW WG @ ietf125. Based on the community feedback received, we recognized that the problem statement and the solution(s) should be separated. This led to the current two drafts: --PS draft: focusing on the problem analysis (information asymmetry, synchronization gaps, long-tail deployment barriers) --Pre-validation BCP draft: focusing on one concrete operational practice (source pre-validation) as a first step Our intention is not to introduce a completely new topic, but to present the refined work derived from prior community discussions in a more modular and digestible form. We understand the agenda selection constraints and fully respect the chairs' decision. If a slot does become available, we would be happy to present the two drafts together in a combined session, as they are closely related and together tell a coherent story - from problem analysis to a concrete operational practice. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the community for the thoughtful comments and valuable suggestions received during the earlier discussion of the BGP-OA proposal. QUIC provides practical and secure semantics for the RTR protocol, particularly fast connection establishment and multi-stream carrying, thereby reducing the time required to complete RTR data synchronization.
