A Revised Internet Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories. This draft is a work item of the Internet Mail Extensions Working Group of the IETF. Note: This revision reflects comments received during the last call period. Title : SMTP Service Extensions Author(s) : J. Klensin, N. Freed, M. Rose, E. Stefferud, D. Crocker Filename : draft-rose-extensions-07.txt Pages : 11 This memo defines a framework for extending the SMTP service by defining a means whereby a server SMTP can inform a client SMTP as to the service extensions it supports. Standard extensions to the SMTP service are registered with the IANA. This framework does not require modification of existing SMTP clients or servers unless the features of the service extensions are to be requested or provided.
