    M-IS = MD-IS = Mobile Data Intermediate System

	I believe it has IP in it and so lets you talk your buddy
	(another MD-ES - end station). As you two roam between cells
	covered by fixed Base Stations (MD-BS), various MD-IS's [hooked
	variously to eachother to multiple MD-BS(s)] route your
	messages.
