The IESG has received a request from the SNMP Security Working Group
to consider the Internet Drafts

o "Administrative Model for version 2 of the Simple Network Management
   Protocol (SNMPv2)" <draft-ietf-snmpsec-adminv2-03.txt>

o "Party MIB for version 2 of the Simple Network Management Protocol
   (SNMPv2)" <draft-ietf-snmpsec-partyv2-03.txt>

o "Security Protocols for version 2 of the Simple Network Management
   Protocol (SNMPv2)" <draft-ietf-snmpsec-secv2-03.txt>

collectively with the documents listed in the previously issued last
call for the base SNMP Version 2 documents as a single Proposed
Standard.

These document would replace the following documents which will be
reclassified as Historic.

 o "SNMP Administrative Model" RFC1351

 o "SNMP Security Protocols" RFC1352

o "Definitions of Managed Objects for Administration of SNMP Parties"
    RFC1353

The IESG plans to make a decision in the next few weeks, and solicits
final comments on this action. Please send any comments to the
iesg@cnri.reston.va.us, or ietf@cnri.reston.va.us mailing lists by
March 25th.
