Dear Colleagues,

This is a reminder that nominations are still open for the IETF 
Nomination Committee (NomCom) for 2026–2027.

Please submit your nominations by October 13, 2026, anywhere on Earth.

Open Positions

The list of positions under consideration is available on the NomCom 
website:

How to Nominate

To nominate someone, click the “Nominate” link at the top of the NomCom 
homepage, or go directly to:

https://datatracker.ietf.org/nomcom/2026/nominate/

When submitting a nomination:

Include a brief explanation of why you are nominating the person.
The candidate’s phone number is optional.
If you do not select “Share nominator name,” your nomination will remain 
confidential, and the nominee will not be told who nominated them.
Self-nominations are welcome.
If nominating the same person for multiple positions, submit a separate 
nomination for each position.

If you cannot use the web form, email your nomination to:

[e-mail]

Please use “Nominate” in the subject line and include:

The nominee’s name
The nominee’s email address
The position for which they are being nominated
Whether your name may be shared with the nominee


After nominations close, the nominee list will be published for 
community feedback. Feedback, discussions, and votes will remain 
confidential.

It is easier to decline a nomination later than to add one after the 
deadline, so please nominate early. A broad and diverse set of 
candidates is essential to the continued success of the IETF.
