Greetings:

I request a time slot to present a few questions from the IDR chairs

have about the interactions of information passed for Spring features

in the BGP SR-TE (RFC9830) (SR Policy TLV of the

Tunnel Encapsulation Attribute [RFC9012])

and BGP SR (BGP Prefix SID Attribute).

The answers from the Spring working group will help us

guide adoption and refinement of the BGP Solutions for Spring.

These questions are:

1. Are all of the identifiers for the segment lists or portions of the
segment list helpful?

Is there any precedence or interactions between identifiers?

2. Are all metrics for the segment lists or portions of the segment list
helpful?

Is there any interaction or precedence between identifiers?

3. Do the multiple layers of Color assignment help the operations and

If so, is there a precedence at various layers (TLV, SubTLV, SubsubTLV

within the BGP-SR TE (RFC9380), Extended Community Attribute)?

4. Should IDR consider the functional interactions between different

Header functions? (NRP, headend behavior, L2 Headend behavior, etc.)

The goal of the talk is to raise these questions and listen.

Cheerily, Sue
