A quick PS, one that I hope isn't necessary but just in case:

At some point I said something like "...I asked you first" which reads
terribly wrong in several ways.  First, this isn't a personalities
thing and, second, I never asked first.  My point was supposed to be
something to the effect of "I'm not making the assertion, I'm
questioning it." But even more important than that, it's not the
critic or the criticism that counts, it's the paper.  I don't want
lose the fact that Reinaldo is taking on significant and respectable
work as an author, and to all please don't take my zeal about the
topic or my in-my-head phonetic spelling and sentence structure at all
personally.
