We are, and my cryptic comment above is shorthand for 'replace all the 
code that tries to guess whether a piece of the name is a version marker 
or not' with 'check the name against this fixed list of problematic 
draft names that already exist' while preventing more of them being made.

Just to check: if I replace "brutally suppressed" with "prevented" does 
it match what you're trying to say?
