It's often the case that a good name takes a while to gestate. Thinking
about the essential qualities, elements and advantages of the protocol can
help. Acronyms and backronyms are a good way of compressing complex ideas
into a unique name ...

p.s. I've added '*ezauth*' (pronounced easy-auth) to the list - however
it's not without problems (e.g., the ambiguity of
authorization/authentication).
