Subject: meeting agenda and venue details

dear ups mib working group:

some of you have already noted but may this serve as a reminder for
those who may not have noticed, we are currently scheduled to meet at
the los angeles ietf as follows:

Friday, March 8 9:00-11:30am (opposite grip, drums, nimrod, idmr)

our tentative agenda is as follows

	1. Welcome / Introductions / Attendance sheet / etc (9:00-9:10)

	2. Discussion of questions and problems with respect (9:10-10:00)
to implementation surveys and updates to RFC 1628

I plan for us to discuss your ability to complete
the surveys (next mail messages) which we will use
as a guide for the updates (but the majority of the
discussion will be on the mailing list).

	3. Discussion of strawman MIB document (10:00-11:30)

we have all been too inactive on the mailing list and i have not been able
to rally you

perhaps the looming date of an upcoming meeting will help get us out
of inactivity

i will have some subsequent messages shortly, but first, please let me
anticipate the inevitable questions about the venue, etc by those who haven't
already registered ... that information follows immediately in this same
message

if you will / will not be able to make it to the meeting, please let us
know via the list

regards,
jdc

***********************
NOTE to attendees arriving at the Omni Hotel Sunday morning.

The LA marathon starts around 9:00am on Sunday directly in front
of the Omni Hotel (Figueroa & 7th Street). Most people will have
cleared out by 12:00 noon.

Guests arriving at the hotel in the AM hours may experience road
closures and delays.

It's possible that guest rooms may not be available until the mid
to late afternoon hours. The hotel is planning to set up a separate
"waiting/hospitality" area on the ballroom level so guests can relax
while guest rooms are being prepared. It's very possible the rooms
will be ready when guests arrive, but the hotel wants to be prepared
in case they are not.

Approximately 200,000 people will be congregating outside the hotel.
The lobby will be very busy in the morning hours, and there will be
a lot of commotion in the early am hours (5:30am) in the hotel. A
helicopter may be landing on the roof of the hotel to transport
dignitaries.
