vcarddav minutes 2009-07-28 IETF Stockholm

draft-ietf-vcarddav-webdav-mkcol-05.txt
Minor changes (see presentation).
Julian did shepherd write-up ready to go to IESG.

draft-ietf-vcarddav-carddav-07.txt
Several changes (see presentation).
new information page:
http://carddav.calconnect.org/
Currently shows:
 4 client implementations
 5 server implementations
Marc Blanchet will do shepherd write-up to pass to IESG.

draft-ietf-vcarddav-vcardrev-08.txt
some changes (see presentation).
Open issue: Cyrus concerned about moving "home" and "work" from type
parameter to group prefix. Thinks it is gratuitous change and doesn't add
anything to the spec.
Open issue: vendor registry
  draft-cridland-acap-vendor-registry-00.txt

Timezone registry issue
  draft-leiba-tzregistry-00.txt
apparea meeting seemed to want a WG for this
current vcard draft allows uri or text to be compatible with future work.

Vendor Name Registry
  draft-cridland-acap-vendor-registry-00.txt
Open issues
 * OK to allow subset of US-ASCII?
 * Should SP be disallowed as well?
 * Import Enterprise Numbers into the registry? (Chris)
will be individual submission discussed on app area list.
suggestion: add enterprise number property to vcard
suggestion: use enterprise numbers in vcard for now

vCard properties for social networks
  http://xmlns.com/foaf/spec/
  draft-george-vcarddav-vcard-extension-01
  Where to go?
Issue: no hierarchy, so it's harder to tie properties to specific social
networks.
Suggestion: add value=xml to vCard base spec. Some support to pursue
this, some concerns. Need to see text of a suggestion. Another option
would be one vcard attribute for an XML blob. Need to see suggestions.

XML document Status Update
  draft-perreault-vcarddav-vcardxml-02
  extensively updated. Needs reviews.

iCalendar in XML
  draft-daboo-et-al-icalendar-in-xml-00
want to see similar encoding with vCard XML
want way to embed vCard as attendees
want way to embed iCalendar events in vCard
Differences in the encoding need to be resolved.
