Strongly recommended. The Convention Center is probably a better choice
due to its central location and access to multiple hotels. Prices for
food and hotels are MUCH lower than in nearby Singapore and access to KL
is easy, particularly *via* Singapore which is of course one of the best
connected cities in the world.

I do not believe that the LGBT issues are any worse than in Singapore,
that is to say the issues are largely invisible to visitors. The Israel
(non-) visa issue might be a bigger obstacle should someone decide to
make it a rallying point, similar to what happened before the first
IETF in Singapore.
