Hello!

We’re holding a “content sprint” for folks who want to be among the first to explore moving content to the new IETF wiki platform and blaze a the trail for the full wiki content migration.

The site wiki.ietf.org will provide wikis for IETF-related groups and meetings. It integrates IETF Datatracker logins to provide appropriate permissions for editing wikis. It is built on the widely-used wiki.js. [1]

Topics to be covered include:

	• Setting up initial wikis for a few specific groups and meetings;
	• Exploring and documenting options for sitewide features, such as navigation;
	• Mapping out and confirming strategies for migrating existing content to the new wiki platform; and
	• Developing and providing documentation for creating and maintaining content on the new platform.

The wiki content sprint is open to any IETF participant and will take place from 1400-1800 ET US (1900-2300 UTC) on 23 July 2022 in the Philadelphia North room of the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown, the IETF 114 meeting venue. We will also have remote participation, details to be determined.

If you have responsibility for any active IETF-related wiki (e.g. working group or directorate wiki), and are looking to get help or a head start on moving content, you are encouraged to participate! The results of the content sprint will be shared broadly. Options for future content sprints will be considered.

To sign up and for further information, see the IETF 114 Content Sprint wiki:

https://wiki.ietf.org/ietf114-content-sprint

Setting up content on the new platform is expected to take place over several months. Content across instances of the old IETF wiki platform (Trac) will be maintained in archives. The current timeline anticipates turning down Trac instances in November 2022.

-Greg
