Subject: IETF-x400-OPS Documents.

Stef had some problems to map the current draft-ietf-x400ops-.... files
with the OPS-x ducuments in the current charter, and I guess he may not
be the only one with the same problems.

I have not followed up good enough that our documents are really stored
into the Internet-Drafts catalog. This has been left to the authors. In order
to avoid misunderstanding, I will send out the OPS-x documents to the list
one by one, to make sure that we are talking about the same versions and
documents.

The draft agenda for the ietf-x400ops meeting in Washington will also
be out shortly.

As a start, here is the mapping stef asked for:

---------------

        OPS-1: "Operational Requirements for X.400 Management Domains in the
               GO-MHS Community".

OPS-1 is the same document as
draft-ietf-x400ops-mgtdomains-01.txt

The file in the internet-drafts catalog is from June 19 1992, and a new
version updated according to comments from Boston, will be distributed
shortly.

--------------

        OPS-2: "Using the Internet DNS to maintain RFC1327
               Address Mapping Tables and X.400 Routing Informations"

OPS-2 is the same document as
draft-ietf-x400ops-dnsx400-00.txt

The file in the internet-drafts catalog is from September 1992, and is the
latest version that will be discussed in Washington.

--------------

        OPS-3: "Routing coordination for X.400 MHS services within a
               multi protocol / multi network environment".

OPS-3 is the same document as
draft-ietf-x400ops-mhs-service-00.txt

The file in the internet-drafts catalog is from March 3 1992, and Urs
Eppenberger is expected to distribute an updated version shortly.

--------------

        OPS-4: "Mapping between X.400(1984/1988) and Mail-11 (DECnet mail)"

OPS-4 is the same document as
draft-ietf-x400ops-mapsmail-01.txt

The file in the internet-drafts catalog is from August 22 1992, and is the
latest version that will be discussed in Washington.

--------------

        OPS-5: "X.400 use of extended character sets"

OPS-5 is the same document as
draft-ietf-x400ops-charactersets-00.txt

The file in the internet-drafts catalog is from April 22 1992, and Harald
Alvestrand is expected to distribute an updated version shortly.

--------------

        OPS-6: "Address mapping table update procedures"

OPS-6 is not yet in the internet-drafts catalog, and I will distribute my
version taken from the COSINE-MHS filestore:
/procedures/operate-rfc1148-gwy (date: 92.03.26).

--------------

In addition to these documents mentioned in the current charter, we
defined 4 new documents in Boston (see the action list):

==============

        OPS-7: "6. Stef - write an internet draft proposing to create
               ADMD=Internet".

OPS-7 is not yet in the internet-drafts catalog, but stef has sent this to
the list recently. The title and date:

"Assertion of C=US A=INTERNET, Nov 92".

===============

         OPS-8: "7. Jim Romaguera (NetConsult AG) - generate draft document
                that addresses the issue of ADMDs and how they are
                connected to the R&D world".

OPS-8 is not in the internet-drafts catalog, but Jim has distributed this
to the list recently. The title and date:

"Evaluation of ADMDs and Integration aspects with respect to the R&D
messaging community, (c) RARE 30th October 1992.".

===============

         OPS-9: "10. Allan - write draft document about postmaster
                addresses and release as an Internet Draft".

OPS-9 is not yet in the internet-drafts catalog, and Allan Cargille is expected
to distribute the first version shortly.

================

         OPS-10: "14. Claudio - produce new document explaining how the
                 X.400 DNS tables should be used and distribute to
                 x400ops list".

OPS-10 is not in the internet-drafts catalog, and Claudio Allocchio is
expected to distribute the first version shortly.

I will update the charter to include also the last 4 documents.

Best regards,
Alf H
