this was also considered, but the label is part of the <name> key for
DNS, and this label MUST be a <domain-name>, and thus <alphanumhyphen>
is the only legal character set. Using illegal characters will also
create troubles at any old intermediate DNS implementation just involved in
passing by the query requests.

Thus the idea was not accepted by the namedroppers group.
