I noticed that, throughout Australia, there was an upcharge for paying with
credit card.  When I worked in banking IT, I remember hearing this
"differential pricing" was in violation of the merchant credit card
agreement (with eventually only gasoline the allowed exception).  Nowadays,
it seems not.   Additionally, some of us had to pay a "foreign transaction
fee" which is significant for a weeklong hotel stay.  But that's not on
Rydges.
