I was told that the router is on the 5th floor- that would explain some of the made observations

I'm on the 8th floor at the Radison with my window overlooking the
breakfast area - I'm getting very erratic service; sometimes good,
sometimes bad, never either one for very long.

Seriously, the network in the Clarion has been excellent!  Other than
having to get a new username/password every 24 hours, the connectivity
has been excellent!  No dropped packets, apparently a 100mbps uplink.
Very usable.

Yes, I know this doesn't help you in the Radisson.  Sorry.
