Hello IETF 91 Companions,

IETF 91 is right around the corner, and we are expecting a record number of companions joining us in Hawaii!

A few things to note:

The IETF Companions 2014 T-shirt is still available in the CafePress store. You can get the logo on any number of items in the shop, and CafePress ships fairly quickly - so there is still time to order before IETF 91. http://www.cafepress.com/ietfcompanions (also, until Saturday, October 25, they are running a T-shirt special. Use the code 45TEE to get a discount on T-shirts).

The IETF Meeting Wiki has great information about how to navigate from the airport to the hotel, where to find coffee or tea on and off IETF 91 venue property, basic public transportation information, and lots of other useful information. https://www.ietf.org/registration/MeetingWiki/wiki/ietf91

The IETF Companions Facebook Group is also a good way to keep in touch. It is a closed group (which is the group members preference), but anyone who requests to be added is added. https://www.facebook.com/groups/185456914970392/

The IETF 91 Connectivity Sponsor Time Warner Cable) has provided a promo code for free Internet at the Time Warner Cable Hot Spots around the Waikiki area from November 5th to November 19th. The code is IETF2014, and the map of TWC hotspots can be found on the IETF 91 Meeting Wiki.

For those who might be traveling with children, the Hilton Hawaiian Village Resort provides a day camp (Camp Penguin) for children ages 5-12 from 8am-3pm. You may read about their activities and rates here: http://www.hiltonhawaiianvillage.com/resort-experiences/camp-penguin

The Hilton Hawaiian Village Resort is right on Waikiki beach, and there are a lot of activities available on the property (see http://www.hiltonhawaiianvillage.com/resort-experiences). But Oahu has many other activities and adventures to find, too! A limited listing can be found on these Web pages:

http://www.hiltonhawaiianvillage.com/oahu-island-activities/cultural-and-historical-sites

Please feel free to use the IETF 91 Companions email list (91companions@ietf.org) to communicate with each other, set up group activities, get to know each other! Some of you have been IETF Companions before, but we will be seeing some new faces, too, so welcome! There will be an IETF Companion Reception on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at 4:30pm (local Honolulu time), place is still to be determined (but we will let you know when it is set). Then, after the Companions Reception, the Companions are encouraged to join the main IETF Welcome Reception at 5:30pm on the Great Lawn.

Looking forward to seeing you all in Hawaii!

Best regards,

Amy Vezza, IETF Secretariat
