as I started to explain when you complained to me after the session and then walked away, I had closed the lines long before you got up to queue.

Barry is the AD sponsoring the BOF. It's his show. Of course he gets to speak, he is expected to figure out what to take forward out of the BOF, and in which shape. If he wants to make a statement or ask the room a question, that's his prerogative.

Lucy got up to queue after Barry, and I asked Barry if he wanted to grant Lucy a minute after he was done. He seemed to indicate to me that he wanted to do this, which is why Lucy got to speak.
