Hello,

As previously outlined [1], we have undertaken a project to look at how to measure and offset the carbon emissions of the IETF, and potentially reach the level of a net zero emitter.

To that end, we have engaged a consultancy with deep expertise in the area and are organizing several sets of workshops so they can help bring us all up to speed on this complex subject.

# Carbon emissions measurement approach

This set of workshops will provide information about the global standards-based approach being developed to calculate, as accurately as possible, IETF carbon emissions (initially focused on emissions from IETF meetings). They will be held on:

# Carbon offset strategy

These workshops will present an overview of the myriad approaches to carbon offsetting with the goal of developing an offsetting strategy that has broad community support. They will be held on:
