Subject: another AT MIB+!

Hi everyone,

Now available for your perusal on lancaster.andrew.cmu.edu (128.2.13.21)
in pub/appletalk-mib2.txt is the latest and greatest AppleTalk MIB+.
Hopefully also the final version, with the exception of some dates and
the ARAP address type before atportType. (Doesn't *anyone* know this
format??)

Most of the changes are a result of comments from Steve Waldbusser, who
gave the MIB a thorough reading last week. The rest are from Phil
Budne's recent note.

- added notes saying which groups are mandatory and which are optional
(there is one optional group, the per port counters group)

- added an example index for each table in the MIB

- made aarpIfIndex, aarpNetAddress, and kipNetStart read-only (they are
indices to tables in RFC 1243)

- corrected the atportType comment referring to the address format for
the ip enumeration

- swapped ddpListenerInPkts and ddpListenerStatus, and swapped
ddpForwardingNetEnd and ddpForwardingNetStart (just because the ordering
made more sense the other way)

- changed Partner to Remote in the atportPtoP group

- changed the phrasing of some DESCRIPTION fields and some comments

- added pToPProtoShivaIp for Shiva/Phil

If you have comments (or know how ARAP's address format should be
specified!) please email or post them before Friday. I will be
submitting the MIB as an internet-draft then, probably earlier in the
day rather than later.

Thanks,
Karen
