I would like to thank Ted and you for responding on the thread.  I 
have two questions.  Before getting into that, I'll mention that I am 
not interested in the personnel aspect unless it is directly relevant 
to the discussion, i.e. why was Person X chosen instead of Person Y.

The usage of "community" in the text quoted above is ambiguous.  Does 
it mean "IETF community" or something else?

What was the considerations against selecting more than one Chair?
