I’m currently approximately at “considered, and sympathized with the argument, but the other side of the coin is just a little stronger”.

I’ll generate the (ct/255) * 256 + ct%255 commit soon.
(Including the updated examples.)
I don’t think we have to change anything else in the document for this.
