Hi CCAMP'rs,

Mayhap the last T-NBI emails sent to the general ccamp list for a while. We will use our shiny new mailing list (mailto:transport-nbi-dt@ietf.org) for future t-nbi meetings and discussions, then report progress/achievement(s) back to ccamp when/if they materialise.

All are welcome to subscribe to/stalk the list: https://mailarchive.ietf.org/arch/browse/transport-nbi-dt/. Those who volunteered to join the DT are encouraged to subscribe. 😊

Please find the minutes and actions from today's call; we will post updates and continue the discussion on the t-nbi list.

Minutes
* The scope of T-NBI and it's objectives are to help people utilise CCAMP models and IETF protocols.
- Publish best practice and examples via Wiki, GitHub, or a combination.
* What is a Northbound Interface? Subjective :-)
- Probably worth defining in context of this work.
* Discussion on "use case" versus "scenario", synonymous or distinct?
- Scenario: A scenario may refer to a specific narrative, technology and set of steps or events.
- Use Case: A use case is a broader concept that describes a set of components, actions/steps, and may define the interactions between functional components to achieve requested objective(s).
* Which "use case(s)" should we focus on first?
- Agreed to work on initially:
+ Inventory Management
+ Multi-layer Topology Management
* Agreed that we can potentially reuse the existing work, scenarios and examples from https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/draft-ietf-ccamp-transport-nbi-app-statement-17#name-json-code
- No specific requirement identified yet to expand or split content from previous work.
* How will we publish output from the DT?
- In-progress T-NBI 2.0 content via GitHub https://github.com/ietf-ccamp-wg/transport-nbi/
- We may also utilise a CCAMP Wiki in the future.
* Next call date is 19 December 2023 (CCAMP WebEx) https://ietf.webex.com/ietf/j.php?MTID=m85a651f333f09a09a4e202ea65e83260

Action: Dan to update CCAMP WG on today's meeting and minutes.
Action: Dan to draft some text to discuss/define terms "scenario" and "use case" in our T-NBI discussions and output.
Action: Dan to draft some text to discuss/define Transport Northbound Interface.
Action: Nigel and Italo to prepare some discussion material for the initial use case(s): inventory management and multi-layer topology management. Not intended to be detailed, ideally enough material for initial technical discussion.
