Just one short reply since your reply shows me that my comment has been 
misunderstood.

This was not meant to point at past achievements and I'm sorry if it was
misunderstood this way.

I'm calling for internet drafts (once we know what the requirements are) 
so that then we can write those papers and implementations and then
benchmark them (for some value of 'we' which is likely to include me).
