Hi all,

I find there is no link for the interim meeting. I feel a little confuse about how to log in the call meeting...

Best

Subject: Re: [Detnet-edp-dt] DetNet Enhanced Data Plane Design Team

WG,

We recently announced the formation of DetNet Enhanced Data Plane Design Team. Our plans related to this DT have now changed. While we indicated in the call for volunteers that would be unlikely for all to be included in the DT, we received a protest in the DT composition. In order to not be further delayed by process discussions, and in consultation with our AD, we have decided to disbanded the DT and close the DT list.

Note that a Design Team is intended to be a small and agile group for a focused activity:
https://www.ietf.org/about/groups/iesg/statements/design-teams/.

We are pleased with the wide interest on the subject and thank the large number of volunteers who are willing to contribute to the WGs' progress.

Our plan is now to progress the work using open working meetings via working meetings. Such meetings are established practice in may WGs, and DetNet has used such working meetings to progress the data plane, YANG, controller plane, and OAM drafts.

These open working meetings of the DetNet WG are led by David Black, the Technical Advisor of the WG.

We expect these meetings to:

- identify proposed refinements to the requirements described in https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/draft-ietf-detnet-scaling-requirements

- examine how the queuing related requirements described in the document
are to be addressed

- collaborate on drafts documenting information and definitions that
will be common among different candidate queuing solutions

- collaborate on drafts documenting one or more specific queuing
mechanisms as candidates for WG adoption

To get this process started we will hold a formal WG interim meeting on
March 7th 13:00 UTC (See
https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html?iso=20230307T130000&p1=1440)

We regret the delay moving these discussions forward that these process
discussions have introduced and look forward to the good work we are
sure is forthcoming.

Regards,
Lou and Janos
