Just a general response to a number of off-list queries. The DT membership is now closed. Keep in mind that the meetings will be open so it is not too late to contribute. I suggest that those who are interested in contributing and are not on the DT list send mail to David (cc'ed above) letting them know that you plan to show up and help.

Thank you to all who are willing to contribute to the new DT.  In
consultation with the DT lead, we have limited formal membership to at
most 2 from a single company.  Those of you who are not formal members
will be able to participate in the open meetings, follow the open DT
list archive and contribute to DT drafts that are developed.  We expect
the next step is for the DT lead to select an initial meeting time.  We
expect all virtual DT meetings to be held via IETF webex, announced on
the WG list, and open to all.  The DT Lead will run/moderate these
meetings as well as select when they occur

DetNet Enhanced Data Plane Design Team

The DetNet Working Group has recently adopted requirements for enhancing
the DetNet Data Plane to improve scaling, see
https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/draft-ietf-detnet-scaling-requirements.
The Design Team is chartered to examine how the queuing related
requirements described in this document are to be addressed.

The work of this design team is expected to:
- document information and definitions that will be common among
different candidate queuing solutions
- document one or more specific queuing mechanisms as candidates for WG
adoption

The Design Team has the flexibility to decide on how best to develop,
document and present its work. The DT will provide regular updates and
reports to the working group.  It will present an update on their status
and plans at each IETF meeting week.

The DT mailing list has been set up with the membership of this list
limited to the design team and the chairs, but the list archive will be
open.  DT meetings will be announced on the list and open to all.  The
specific workings, including meeting schedules, of the DT are at the
discretion of the DT.
