Thank you for the clarification.

I think that a generic solution to retrieve several records using the same query would be more useful that restricting it to IPv4-IPv6 use case (which is by the way my interest as described in http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-boucadair-behave-dns-a64-01#section-4.7)

Mentioned by Alfred: TXT records together with PTR records on DNSBL lookups, mail policy TXT RRs together with MX RRs.

Mentioned by me: SPF and TXT records for SPF lookups (RFC 4408, section 4.4).
